Vento Brando – João Camarero is part of the Guitarcoop catalogue as a representative recording of Brazil’s new generation of guitarists. In his second album, Brazilian guitarist and composer João Camarero consolidates his artistic trajectory by combining original works with interpretations of key figures in the Brazilian tradition, including Radamés Gnattali, Garoto (Aníbal Augusto Sardinha), Cristovão Bastos, Agustín Barrios, Canhoto da Paraíba, João Lyra, Raphael Rabello, and Paulo César Pinheiro.

The program reflects a dialogue between the choro tradition, Brazilian popular music, and elements drawn from the classical repertoire, resulting in a language that moves fluidly across aesthetic boundaries. Technical precision, tonal clarity, and a distinctive interpretative voice position Camarero as both heir to and renewer of Brazil’s rich guitar lineage.

Vento Brando reinforces Guitarcoop’s commitment to documenting the continuity and evolution of the Brazilian guitar tradition, presenting an artist whose work combines artistic maturity, personal identity, and a consistent engagement with the repertoire.
