Aniello Desiderio and Zoran Dukić, both acclaimed classical guitarists, have been collaborating as a duo since the early 1990s. Their partnership has graced European festivals and renowned international stages, including the Palau de la Música in Barcelona. The duo's repertoire spans a wide range of compositions, from Baroque transcriptions to contemporary works. Among the most notable adaptations are Bach's Chaconne, as well as pieces by the Italian composers Domenico Scarlatti and Domenico Cimarosa. Their interpretations of works by Astor Piazzolla, such as the Suite Troileana, arranged by Sérgio Assad, have also been particularly acclaimed. In 2021, the duo released the album A & Z through GuitarCoop, featuring a selection of these works. Aniello and Zoran's synergy and technical mastery continue to captivate audiences worldwide, solidifying their reputation as one of the leading guitar duos in the classical music scene. Both winners of some of the most prestigious international solo guitar competitions in the 1980s and 1990s, the duo won the 1st Prize at the Francisco Tárrega International Competition in Spain, with just a two-year difference (Aniello in 1992 and Zoran in 1994). Since then, they have pursued highly successful careers, with the formation of their duo bringing together a lifelong passion for Bach and Baroque music alongside a strong interest in Spanish and Latin American music.
