Live in Koblenz documents the artistic collaboration between two of the most distinguished guitarists of their generation, Aniello Desiderio and Zoran Dukic, recorded live on October 11, 2020, at the Kaisersaal of the Kurfürstliches Schloss during the 28th Koblenz Guitar Festival & Academy in Germany.

Captured entirely in concert, the album stands as a significant record of in-person musical activity in 2020, a year marked by the global suspension of cultural events. The project brings together two internationally established soloists in a chamber setting defined by technical excellence, interpretative depth, and refined musical dialogue.

The program combines repertoire originally conceived for orchestra, piano, harpsichord, and mixed ensembles with cornerstone works for guitar duo. Featured composers include Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Enrique Granados, Domenico Scarlatti, Astor Piazzolla, Joaquín Rodrigo and Sérgio Assad.

Historic transcriptions and original arrangements expand the duo’s tonal and expressive range, underscoring the guitar’s capacity to engage with diverse stylistic traditions. The result is a high-level artistic document that preserves the immediacy, spontaneity, and expressive vitality of the live concert experience.
